# Job Hunt Stats

## What it does

Gives you the honest scoreboard of your job hunt in a few lines: applications sent, where they stand, outreach replies, and what's coming up. Every number is counted from real records (your tracker, receipt emails, and calendar), never estimated, and each posting counts once.

## When to use

- "How many applications this week?", "what's my response rate?", "any interviews coming up?", or a scheduled Friday summary.

## Requires

The application tracker (a sheet, notes page, or database). Optional: an email connector (receipts and status emails), outreach logs, and a calendar connector (interviews).

## Schedule

Default: Fridays at 5:00 PM, plus on demand.

## Inputs

## Steps

1. **Fix the window** and state it in the answer.
2. **Count applications** from the tracker, split as set.
3. **Cross-check receipts.** A submission with a receipt but no tracker row counts as "submitted, not yet recorded". Flag it so it gets logged.
4. **Count statuses:** in review, assessment, interview, rejected, offer.
5. **Count outreach:** sent, replied, bounced, follow-ups due.
6. **List upcoming** interviews and assessments with dates.
7. **Answer** with the headline number first.

## Edge cases

- **A source can't be read:** say which one and give the count without it.
- **Duplicate rows:** count each posting once and flag the duplicates.

## Boundaries

- Never estimate a number.
- Read-only. It only flags gaps; it never edits records.
